My Specialties & Services
Equine Assisted and Nature-Based Therapy in Colorado
At the heart of my approach is the belief that healing happens through awareness, presence, and authentic connection—with ourselves, others, and the natural world. Blending the experiential depth of Gestalt Therapy with the powerful, intuitive presence of horses through Equine-Assisted Therapy, I help clients access insight not just intellectually, but emotionally and somatically. Whether you’re working through personal pain or relationship patterns, I create immersive, nature-connected experiences that promote growth, clarity, and healing.
Individual Therapy
Rediscover Your Strength
My Individual Therapy sessions offer a safe, grounded space to be held and supported as you navigate personal challenges, deepen understanding of and connection to self, and foster expansion of emotional capacity. Through a combination of Gestalt, Nature-Based, Equine-Assisted and other modalities, myself and the animals help you reconnect with resources in you and all around you to move through life’s transitions with clarity and confidence. Sessions are available via telehealth or in person in Sterling Ranch, Colorado.
Relational Therapy
Rebuild, Reconnect, and Renew
Relationships are where we are most vulnerable—and where the deepest healing can take place. In our Relational Therapy sessions, I use systemic and Gestalt frameworks, along with the supportive presence of therapy animals, to help people navigate conflict, communicate more effectively, and rekindle emotional safety and vulnerability. Together, we create space for empathy and growth. My Relational Therapy is not just for married couples or partners, it can be for siblings, parents with adult children, roommates, friends etc.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Equine Assisted Therapy, and how does it work?
Equine Assisted Therapy involves guided interactions with horses to help you explore emotions, build confidence, and gain insights into your behaviors and patterns. It’s a hands-on, engaging approach that promotes emotional healing through a unique bond with animals and nature.
What is Gestalt Equine Psychotherapy?
Gestalt Therapy is defined as the process of exploring our experience in and of relationship while in relationship. Holding ‘I-Thou’ with the utmost respect, working to support growth in relationship, deepening contact, and inspiring creative choice are core tenants of this therapy. Gestalt Equine Psychotherapy (GEP) holds the above definition as fundamental as we integrate horses, and therefore nature, into the therapeutic process. Horses bring desire for relationship without prejudice, seeking contact and congruence as the only criteria for the creation of emotional intimacy. Nature exemplifies awareness and presence, providing an opening for us to move into contact and connection in the way in which we are designed – unburdened by layers of familial, societal, and systemic introjects. Horses and nature therefore allow the opportunity to re-create our original attachment with ourselves, the environment, and others when we have experienced emotional injury, relational rupture and/or loss. Gestalt Equine Psychotherapy is our journey into land/nature/equine- based relationship which provides the foundation to heal the nature of our being.

Will I be riding horses?
The work I do is primarily with your feet on the ground. We will more than likely be working with horses that are free to roam and walk around the pasture. Sometimes we will use appropriate tools (such as halters and lead ropes) to connect and work with the horses. Sometimes we will connect and work with horses in other fun and unique ways, but you can pretty much always expect to be keeping your feet on the ground throughout sessions.
What can I expect during a therapy session?
Each session is tailored to your specific needs and goals. Depending on the approach we choose—whether it’s Equine Assisted Therapy, Nature-Based Therapy, or more traditional therapy approaches—you can expect a safe, supportive environment where we’ll work together to promote healing and growth.
How do I know if your therapy approach is right for me?
My approach is ideal for people who are ready for change and open to trying non-traditional therapy methods like Equine Assisted Therapy or Nature-Based Therapy. If you’re seeking a more interactive and engaging therapeutic experience, this may be a great fit for you. Reach out to see if we’re a good fit.
Do you offer online therapy sessions?
Yes! I offer online teletherapy sessions for those who prefer the convenience of virtual therapy sessions. This option provides the flexibility to receive therapy from the comfort of your home while still receiving personalized support.
What ages do you work with?
I work with people who are 18 years or older. I can refer you to others that offer similar therapy approaches if you are looking for support for anyone under 18 years old.
What is your session cost?
My 55-minute sessions are $200 for both individual and relational therapy.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance, however you can reach out to me directly to inquire about discounted rate options, or read about my full fee structure and discounted rate opportunities here.
How long does therapy usually last?
The length of therapy varies depending on your individual goals and progress. Some clients find resolution in a few months, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy. We will regularly review your progress to ensure we’re on the right path toward meaningful change.
